The scent of your home

I remember growing up with the distinctive smell of my home in Italy. I used to live in a big countryside house with my Italian family: my great grandparents, my grandparents, my mum, dad and little sister. As every traditional Italian family we used to sit down everyday all together for lunch and dinner and you could always smell the inviting and comforting food coming from the kitchen. My house in Italy also reflect my mother’s passion for antiques so, when nobody is cooking, the other scent you can smell is the wooden of the antique furniture around the house.

Once I moved to the UK and started to build my family home I knew I wanted my house to have a signature scent that was reflecting my family and our personalities. A quick and cost effective way to add a fragrance to your home is through candles, but if you want to upgrade and have a constant aroma release in your house you should definitely use a diffuser.

Diffusers come in a variety of shapes, sizes, styles and designs, however all are designed to do one thing which is to release the most beautiful, desired scent to your home.

I would like to guide you through my top three diffuser types, starting with the Diptyque Hourglass Diffuser. It is available in a large variety of fragrances to choose from and because of its unique design it will blend in perfectly with your home decor. The ease of usage of this diffuser makes it ideal for a quick release of scent.

One of my favourite electric diffusers is the Neom Organics Wellness Pod. It instantly fills your home with a 100% natural aroma by dispersing pure essential oils, which are excellent for mood enhancement. The vast array of essential oils are carefully blended to target your desired mood, perfect for creating a positive scent to your home. My favourite oil blend must be the “Boost your energy” scent, which is a combination of pine, cedarwood and eucalyptus, an extremely fresh and awakening scent that will help you stay motivated as well as productive during the course of your day.

Finally the classic style diffuser: Reed Diffusers are a fabulous way to continuously fragrance a room whilst looking aesthetically pleasing. Reed diffusers ask a little of you and take care of themselves. Some of my favourite classic style diffusers are by Jo Malone London, The White Company and Acqua di Parma.
