INTERIOR DESIGN TRENDS
As this year is coming to an end, as interior designer I like to reflect about the trends that we have seen raising in 2022 and in particular the ones that I think won’t go away in the next future!
So here is my list for you to enjoy and I would love to know witch one are your favourite!
1.Natural Fabrics: I feel that a couple of years ago one of the biggest trend in interior was a minimalistic decor that had as protagonist sofa and bedding made from 100% linen fabrics.
Today I think that minimalistic look has evolved in a more country-chic decor, keeping the natural fabrics in the spotlight.
This past year we have seen over and over again beautiful linen sofas mixed with a more country jute or wool rug and there is a reason why this beautiful materials are here to remain.
Investing in a piece of furniture upholstered in a sophisticated natural fabric will never date.
You can always change your accessories accordingly to the trends of the season, but won’t regret the decision to use natural fabrics.

2.Geometric Tiles: Ok, so this must be my favourite trend of the season and I bet it’s here to stay!
In bathrooms, entryways or kitchens, those tiles do stand out and they have a sophisticated, but playful way to appear.
I particularly love when the tiles are laid in a non symmetrical way, creating a fun pattern throughout the room.

3.Earthy Colour Palette: What a better way to bring the outdoor indoor? An earthy colour palette is the perfect way to add warmth and balance to your house.
This colours have the power to recalibrate the environment and give you comfort when easing off from your day.
To achieve the perfect hearty palette remember to alternate the deeper and muddy colours with lighter ones and be guided by the natural elements, like oak and natural textures.

4.Curved Furniture: This new trend that emerged in 2022, will see a raise in 2023. Curved furniture, not only are beautifully looking from every corner, but they also provide the ultimate comfort.
It is very important when designing a room to be considerate of the shapes you are using, and breaking up the sharp edges with curves and arches gives the room a moment to breath and creates a more relaxed environment.
